Hemsworth away in the 1/4's for the battling Colls
Colls were forced into numerous changes due to the cup rule where players had to be registered back in December for a cup game in March. This upset the start for Colls who were slightly slow out of the blocks as the much stronger physical Worsborough took the lead after 18 minutes when indecisiveness in the Colls back line let the striker nip in and score past the oncoming Nuttal. However as usual going the goal kick started the Colls who found a lease of life with a switch of formation and a few movements around the park. The benefits of Greenhough in the midfield was for all to see as his directness of play put the Worsborough lads on the back foot. Coulson equalized after around 30 mins , with captain Turfrey giving the Colls a half time lead when he scored direct from a corner with a sweetly struck effort.
Worsborough started the second half as expected, quickley out of the blocks and latched onto an error to get the equalizer with 5 mins of the second half gone. Colls could have buckled as their older opponents tried to get a grip of the game but they dug deep and showed a real hunger to win this one. Greenhough had the ball in the back of the net to make it 3-2 but was ruled out due to it being direct from a throw with no one getting a touch on it. Ashton was a constant threat to the Worsborough back line with his pace and was rewarded when his goal bound effort was clipped by the Worsborough defender and sneaked past the sprawled keepers arms.
Worsborough are again this weeks visitors but this time in the league with a 7:45pm kick off at the Urban Sports Stadium
